Long time no blog!!

Sorry folks for not posting for sooooo long but I have been mega busy. That is no excuse I know but there you have it...

I will be posting a blog tomorrow about what I have managed to get so far in the sales - is it my imagination or do they start earlier and earlier each year?

Next to follow will be a look at what is hot and what is not for Spring/Summer 2011 - I don't know about all you ladies out there but after all this snow and temperatures as low as -12, I am longing for some warm sun!

Sunny October in Wales...

Sorry for not being able to post anything for a while but I have been busy, busy, busy customising jeans and skirts and visiting different parts of the country looking at uni's with my eldest.

I wanted to show you my funky cardi from Joe Browns - oh I just love it sooooo much and so snug and warm it is too.

Last Saturday we made the 3 hour drive to Aberystwyth and we left at 6:15am in the dark. It was lovely to see the winter sun rise and the day turned out lovely and warm but not warm enough to take the Joe Brown cardi off!!

Animal Print & Roses!!

I have finally bought the coat I have been lusting over! I haven't bought it until now as I didn't want to face the fact that summer has gone, the leaves are turning yellow and it's starting to get COLD! So with that in mind I went onto Simply Be and bought the ANNA SCHOLZ grey leopard print fur coat - I cannot wait for it to arrive and will add pics to show you all what it looks like on.

Also added to my basket were a pair or leggings by Rock & Revival and are not too dissimiliar to the Beth Ditto one's currently on sale...next will be the Anna Scholz legging I think  - black with little studs on- could be diamantes but I couldn't really tell.

I am selling an unworn pair of Beth Ditto brogue shoes from her last collection. The are a UK size 10W and are still in their original box and have only been tried on. They are a generous fit as I have quite wide feet and these fit perfectly. The are for sale at £30 plus £4.09 postage for 1st class recorded within the UK. New online shop for Curvy Girls ... & Toccara Jones

Some good news for all curvy girls ... a new online fashion store has been launched. Style369.com is devoted to size 14-26 and from what I have seen has some very LUSH outfits indeed. They are reasonably priced priced too so check them out. This site is more suited to those who seek fashionable and on trend items rather than those whose seek practical items - I am LOVING it!

Also, there is a small feature in this weeks LOOK magazine on Toccara Jones whom some of you will recognise from Evans new seasonal campaigns. I watched the series of America's Next Top Model that featured her and am glad to see her now featuring in major advertising campaigns. I must say that she seems to have lost a considerable amount of weight since she was on the show - either that or she has been airbrushed a lot!

Another day and what to wear?

I have worn my first long sleeved item of the season!! It must have been cold as I am usually one of the last people out of my summer clothes.

The outfit in question was a simply stunning JOE BROWNS tunic/dress. OMG I love this tunic. I wore it with stirrup leggings from Simply Be and gorgeous shoes from Evans - £25 and sooo comfortable - and they do them up to size 11! I take a size 10 myself so I know all about how hard it is to get nice shoes that fit properly!!

Autumn is definitely here - it's grey skies at the moment and a chill in the air. I am really looking forward to wearing my new clothes - most of which are Joe Browns from Simply Be - I think I love almost everything they have done this season!

Ditto Day is getting closer!!!

At last...the end is in sight!! The second Beth Ditto collection launches on Friday at Evans, Marble Arch & a pop up shop in Selfridges. It will also be online on the same day and rolls out to more stores the following week. Here is just a taster of the delights to come as seen in this weeks LOOK magazine!!

Another day - another outfit!

I just wanted to share with you the gorgeous Joe Brown's top from Simply Be. It has to be said that I do love Joe Brown's and I love pretty much all of their stuff but this top is DIVINE! It comes in two colourways: blue multi & olive multi and as you can see I went with the blue. I also bought a teal cropped cardigan that looks great with the top but it's not cool enough for me to wear it yet!

If you haven't checked out Simply Be yet I suggest you give them a look - they do have some great stuff especially Joe Brown's - maybe I should get a discount for plugging them so much LOL! As for me, well I am about to grab a mug of hot water & lemon (don't drink tea or coffee) and browse through the October issue of Vogue to see what the latest trends are - from my quick flick through it seems lace is still on the scene and fur is looking big this A/W!

What's a curvy girl to wear?

I have been checking out the "So Fabulous" range by Littlewoods and I'm not too impressed it has to be said. There isn't really anything that shouts out "BUY ME!!!" - nothing at all. There are some things which are nice and are okay but mainly nothing...What are we stylish, curvy girls to wear? Nothing if it is left to the manufacturers.

It is a market which needs to be seriously tapped into and there is money to be made in this area of fashion but it seems that on the high street the only place is Evans and they could seriously be doing more. I feel that New Look doesn't really count and it's just a token gesture that SOME clothes go to a size 26. I went into the Birmimgham Corporation Street branch last weekend and was appalled at the INSPIRE collection - well quite frankly it didn't!! It has now been relegated to downstairs with the menswear so we cannot be seen I assume. The collection consisted of about three rails of nothing in particular. Only one thing stood out that caught my eye - a grey, s/s jumper with a diamante bow.

I am LOVING Simply Be at the moment and in particular the Joe Brown's collection and am currently awaiting my second order from them as I write. I love the Joe Brown's items and I love almost everything in the new A/W range.

A recently discovery of mine is ASOS Curve - I love it and received my very first parcel from them last week.

The Beth Ditton collection is aproaching very fast and I CANNOT wait to see what is in store - it had better be as good as the hype!! I saw the interview with Beth in the October issue of Marie Claire and I am LOVING the maxi dress she has on although I am not sure it will suit me but I shall be trying it on nevertheless!!!

Evans Almighty!

This morning I ventured into Evans to check out the first of the A/W arrivals. There is a lot of grey instore which I do like but not in such abundance! The asymmetrical hem top still seems to reign supreme and I am a bit fed up with that. I tried on a few things from the new Carnaby Street collection but to be honest they aren't that exciting - see pics. I loved the giraffe jumper but even though I tried on a size up from my usual it still showed lumps and bumps and didn't hang too well - shame as I really liked it.

I am still loving the maxi dress and this one has £10 off now making it £29.50.

I finally left the shop with a pair of gorgeous black shoes as I needed some badly. There are some gorgeous shoes and boots in store so I will be going back soon for the purple bow shoe and possibly some boots if the calf is wide enough. Also, the purple bow mac is HEAVENLY - must get that too!

Autumnal Delights - for curvy girls!

Oh I am sooo excited!! My first parcel of Autumn clothes has arrived. I am now the proud owner of some DIVINE Joe Brown's items as well as a floral shirt & black/white tunic from Simply Be.

Joe Brown's have some gorgeous clothes in for A/W 2010 - I have started with a funky black and white cardigan and a vest tshirt with a studded gothic cross - oh it is so divine and I am very pleased with it. I am going to order some of their tunics next but the trouble is I want ALL of them!!!

Tomorrow I am going to check out the first arrivals of Evans A/W range - things are looking very grey online but I am hoping to see some bursts of colour in store - will let you know!
